This course was created to support trainers and managers in developing clear, effective knowledge checks using Google Forms—a powerful, accessible tool that’s often underutilized.

The training provides a guided walkthrough of the platform’s core features, such as automated scoring, branching logic, and data collection through Google Sheets. This solution helps reduce reliance on complex tools for simple assessments while promoting greater consistency and efficiency across departments.

Problem Statement


Paper-based quizzes were causing some real issues:

  • Forms were getting lost or sent late

  • Trainers had to grade everything manually

  • There was no easy way to track results over time

  • The process wasn’t consistent across teams

Most trainers didn’t know Google Forms could handle all of this—and do it better.

Solution Overview


The solution I designed is a hands-on eLearning module that walks trainers through exactly how to create and manage quizzes using Google Forms. The course breaks things down into clear, easy-to-follow sections so trainers can build their own quizzes as they go—no guessing, no extra steps.

Key features include:

  • Step-by-step walkthroughs – Each part of the process is broken into manageable pieces, so trainers can follow along and build their own quizzes in real time.

  • Rapid Prototyping: I used Articulate Storyline to quickly prototype and launch the course, making it easy to access and update.

  • Interactive Learning: The course includes clickable elements, examples, and short videos that help trainers stay engaged and apply what they’re learning.

  • Continuous Improvements: Incorporating user feedback, I introduced a Replay button on every slide within the Articulate Storyline 360 file, enabling learners to easily revisit and review content without restarting the module, thus facilitating iterative enhancements based on user experience and needs.

Impact and Benefits


Rolling out this training had a real impact on how our teams create and manage quizzes. Here’s what changed:

  1. Saved Time and Effort
    Switching from paper-based quizzes to Google Forms cut down on grading time, printing, scanning, and follow-up. Trainers now have more time to focus on the actual training.

  2. Stronger Assessments
    Trainers can now build more effective quizzes, track learner progress, and get immediate insight into how well key concepts are landing.

  3. Easier Access and Sharing
    Digital quizzes made it simple to share results, pull reports, and collaborate—especially across teams or departments.

    Along the way, trainers found even more perks: shared quiz editing, quick updates when something changes, and fewer delays when rolling out assessments.
